While conversations about change are vital, they truly come to life when we actively work towards them. Our recent GP/LP Networking Lunch at Tech BBQ was a practical step towards reshaping the future of venture capital and amplifying diversity and inclusion in the industry.

🌍 Connecting over 100 Exceptional Women Fund Managers with LPs for Transformation

Our networking lunch was a unique platform where we connected over 100 exceptional women General Managers (GP) with Limited Partners (LPs) to address two persistent challenges:

▶️ Predominantly Male and Relationship-Driven Interactions Among LPs:

The venture capital sphere has been characterized by predominantly male and relationship-driven interactions, creating barriers for many talented female fund managers.

▶️ Limited Allocation Power for Female LPs:

While fundraising often involves interactions with at least one female LP, female Limited Partners (LPs) have long grappled with limited allocation power in the venture capital landscape, facing systemic barriers that hinder their ability to make substantial investment decisions. 

To bridge this gap and achieve gender balance, it is imperative that female General Partners (GPs) have the opportunities and networks necessary to establish larger funds and improve gender disparity in asset allocation.
